Sunborn Evolution is a next-generation floating hotel, currently in development for Sunborn International, offering guests a distinctive stay aboard a yacht hotel in the heart of the city.

As part of the planning application for a new London development, Shaw was commissioned to create the interior design concept for the vessel’s restaurant, alongside an exterior materials specification proposal and a series of renderings to support the planning process and wider project communications.

A key focus was the hotel’s relationship with its setting, particularly the views across Canary Wharf and the London skyline. Shaw’s design scope included floor plans, mood boards and visualisations for the restaurant interior, exploring a contemporary hospitality environment designed to frame the city views by day and by night.

The design approach balances the elegance of the yacht hotel experience with a strong sense of place, creating a refined restaurant setting that connects life on board with the surrounding urban waterfront.
